Currently there is not that much of a use for DLP8 Coin. But in the future it will receive protocol fees and be the governance token of the DLP8 DAO.

We want DLP8 to be a highly liquid token with much of it supply available in the market.
Why that supply and number of decimal places?
As shown on Solscan, DLP8 has an initial supply of 800,000,000 and 8 decimal places. It is quite straightforward indeed, just and 8 followed by 8 zeros and 8 decimal places.
